Tricom’s Five-Point Communication Strategy

As you may recall from our first post, Tricom’s Five Point Communication Plan begins with updating your organization’s website. This first step helps you lay a communications foundation. Updating your website provides the undergirding for the remaining four communications strategies.

Tricom’s second point is updating your website’s graphic and written content. I have a phrase that “content is king.” The quality of your content proves essential in encouraging your constituency to do those action steps you want them to perform. Here are some questions to ask as you revamp your content.

1. When was the last time you have updated your website’s marketing copy? Does the language reflect your company’s current goals?

2. Grammatically, does your website read well? Are there lots of passive verbs? Are there ambiguous pronouns?

3. Graphically, do your images look stale? Can fresh images reenergize your website?
