Like a cluttered desk, website site maps can become, well… disorganized. As you may know, a site map is the organization and hierarchy of web pages in relation to each other. Many organizations have a parent page called “About” and then underneath this they list pages for “Staff,” “Mission,” etc. this structure is your site map.
The problem is that what made sense a few years ago may not work for your organizational goals today. What site map you put together when you launched your site may not fit with your current strategic goals. This may mean your site needs a restructured site map.
